The Seahawks offense could be even better in 2026, and one of the biggest reasons may be the growing connection between Sam Darnold and Rashid Shaheed. This week, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler noted that Shaheed had a major spring and that he and Darnold are already hitting it off. That lines up with what local Seahawks beat reporter Corbin Smith has been seeing in person throughout OTAs and minicamp: Darnold and Shaheed appear to have cleaned up some of the timing and chemistry issues from last season, with Shaheed becoming a much more consistent part of the passing game. Today, we’ll dig into why this matters so much for Seattle’s offense, how Shaheed’s role may expand beyond simply being a deep threat, and why Brian Fleury could have a much more dangerous receiver rotation than people realize with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp, Tory Horton and others.
